Pyronyx Music
A connected artist and listener platform for discovering, streaming, saving, downloading, publishing, and purchasing music with PYNX.
Open Pyronyx Music Documentation Index
Overview
Pyronyx Music uses the same wallet-connected Pyronyx account and shared Inferno Balance used by other ecosystem products. It does not require a separate music account or a custom music smart contract. Listener purchases and artist earnings are recorded in PYNX through the platform's transaction-safe internal accounting.
What listeners can do
Discover and search
Browse the newest, most played, top-selling, or lowest-priced releases and search by song, artist, or album information.
Listen
Play public previews where an artist provides one. Library access unlocks authorized full-track playback for saved or purchased releases.
Build a library
Add free releases or purchase paid access. Entitled tracks appear in the connected account's Music Library.
Download when allowed
Free-download releases and artist-enabled purchased files expose an authorized download link. Streaming access does not automatically include a download.
Release access types
| Access type | Listener experience | PYNX price |
|---|---|---|
| Free stream | Available without a purchase. Download access depends on the artist's settings. | 0 PYNX |
| Free download | Can be added to the listener library and downloaded through an authorized link. | 0 PYNX |
| Paid access | Purchased with the connected Inferno Balance, then added to the listener library for authorized playback and any enabled downloads. | Set by the artist |
Artist Studio
- Connect the wallet registered to an existing Pyronyx account.
- Open Artist Studio and create an artist profile with a stage name.
- Enter the release title, genre, description, access type, and PYNX price when applicable.
- Upload the full audio file and cover artwork. A public preview is optional.
- Choose whether authorized downloads are allowed, label explicit content, and either publish immediately or save a draft.
- Use the dashboard to review release status, plays, sales, and available PYNX earnings.
Supported full-audio formats include MP3, M4A, WAV, and FLAC. Cover artwork supports JPEG, PNG, and WebP. Public previews support MP3 or M4A.
Accounts and the Inferno Balance
The top-right account button connects a wallet to the site-wide Pyronyx account. If the wallet has no account, the registration card opens. If it is already registered, the account menu provides the wallet-linked profile and logout option.
A paid Music purchase verifies and locks the buyer's balance record, debits the purchase amount, creates the library entitlement, records artist earnings and the platform fee, and writes accounting records before the transaction commits. This avoids partial purchases and duplicate debits.
Users can build the shared balance through supported Pyronyx products, then use that balance where the platform allows, including Pyronyx Music purchases.
Media access and privacy
Pyronyx Music stores audio and artwork in Cloudflare R2. Cover images and approved public previews may be delivered publicly. Full audio and paid files are stored as private objects and are delivered only after the Music API confirms the listener's access. Temporary authorized URLs prevent permanent public links from being exposed.
- Wallet and account sessions remain server-side.
- Storage credentials are not placed in browser JavaScript.
- Uploads are checked for allowed MIME types and size limits.
- Paid access is tied to the connected Pyronyx account and library entitlement.
Artist rights and moderation
Artists must own or have permission to publish every uploaded recording, composition, cover image, and related asset. Immediate publishing removes a routine approval bottleneck, but it does not remove responsibility. Pyronyx administrators can suspend profiles or remove releases in response to abuse, rights complaints, security issues, or policy violations.
